Try not to remember

Hi guys!
Yesterday I saw the movie "home of the brave". It's a pretty good movie about men (and women) who went to the war in Israel and when they came back to the USA they faced problems with their family because of their long absence and because of their trauma's they got back there. You should really watch the movie. Anyways that's not what I wanted to write about today. When I was starting to watch the DVD and the menu came on it played the theme song (Well... at least a part of it) and instantly I fell in love with it. You really have to listen the whole song. The best part starts around  one minute after the start of the video.

What do you think about this song? And if you watched the movie what did you think about it? Did you go fight in any war or do you know someone who did? Feel free to commment!

Online teen diaries

Hey, Contessors!
I like reading like online diaries of teens or just blogs where they don't write about an specific topic. I search for those blogs on Google but 99% percent of those blogs are abandoned. And if I see a blog which isn't updated in 2 months I don't even want to read them anymore. So this is my question for you guys, do you know any of this kind of blogs which got updated recently? You'd make me really happy if you'd be able to give me some links to blogs. Please leave the URL in a comment.

Exams

Hey guys!
In 3 weeks my exams will begin :( Which means that won't have much time to post stuff on this blog especially during exams so now I'm writing as much good posts as I can to schedule them so you at least have something to read in those 2 weeks and a half. And that also means that and my low profile will begin today don't expect more than 2 posts a week. Be happy if you already get one. Just for the next few weeks school will be #1 to do. But if I find time to write something in my notebook (If I get an idea when I don't have access to a computer I write it down in a little notebook which I carry around all the time so I won't forget it.) And type it on my blog I'll post it during my exams in a while where I don't have much posts yet. So you won't be too long without posts. I promise I'll do my best to keep you guys satisfied  but you'll have to do it with a few short posts. I'll schedule them to get published at 03:30 ECT (European Central Time) But I promise that I'll make it up to you afterwards. For example I'll write a post about how my family celebrates Christmas.

Wordle

Have you ever heard of wordle? Well of you haven't let me explain it to you by giving you guys an example. You go to http://www.wordle.net and you click "create" (wow that sounds complicated) and you just post a bunch of text in the textbox. I'm using my recent post about dreams, because that's a long one. Wordle makes a collage of the most common used words in the text and the more you used that word the bigger it is. So below you can see my wordle collage.

You can see that especially the word dream is used a lot and so are dreams, key, lake and butterfly.
Why can this program be useful?
When you're writing a story you can put your story into this website and you'll see what words you use (too) commonly. It can help improve your writing style and it could make a good thing to describe the theme of your story without giving away too much.
And anyway I like the way this wordspinthingy looks like.

Dreams and nightmares

Hello, my dear at this moment non existing followers

Everybody dreams every night (except if you don't sleep, but that doesn't count), but have you ever wondered why we have dreams or if they have some kind of a meaning? Well... I have. Lately I've been having nightmares often. A few days ago I dreamed that t spider with the size of a backpack attacked me! How absurd is that!? Anyway that dream scared the hell out of me (I've got like a huge phobia of spiders. I'm even scared of spiders on tv). And the night before I dreamed that a man kidnapped me and raped me. And the worst thing was that the man was ugly as hell. But I have really nice dreams too. I often dream that I'm just hanging around with my boyfriend and nothing bad happens at all. But what do all these dreams mean?

Freud (famous scientist) said that you only dream about things you desire to have or that you desire to happen. So he says that I want a spider with the size of a backpack to attack me.
I decided to do some research on dreams. And I came across this website called dreammoods. And I red the first paragraph of the homepage and my first thought was "this sounds so hippy". But I looked further on that site and I'm basing this article on that info.
Last night I dreamed that a butterfly came along and gave me a key. And then I fell into a lake and lost the key.
The site says the next thing about keys appearing in your dreams
To see a key in your dream symbolizes opportunities, access, control, secrets, freedom, knowledge or responsibilities. You may be locking away your own inner feelings and emotions. Or you are unlocking the answer to some problem. In particular, a ring of keys represents status, authority, and power. It also highlights your adaptability to a situation. If the key is gold, then it suggests that influence, power and wealth will give you access to almost anything you want.
and about losing them:
To dream that you lose your keys signify fears of losing control of yourself or losing your position or status in life. It may also indicate unexpected changes, frustrations, and unpleasant adventures. The dream could be analogous to lost or missed opportunities. If you give your key away, then it suggests that you have given up control of some situation or responsibility.
and about a lake
To see a lake in your dream signifies your emotional state of mind. You feel restricted and that you can't express your emotions freely. Alternatively, the lake may provide you with solace, security, and peace of mind. If the lake is clear and calm, then it symbolizes your inner peace. If the lake is disturbed, then you may be going through some emotional turmoil.
About the butterfly it says
To see a butterfly in your dream signifies longevity, creativity, romance, joy and spirituality. You may be experiencing a new way of thinking. Or you are undergoing some sort of transformation. Alternatively, a butterfly refers to your need to settle down. You are lacking focus in your life. You tend to be flighty and jump from one thing to another. Also consider the term "social butterfly" to describe someone who is popular and outgoing. Perhaps you need to be more outgoing.
So it says that I fear losing control and that I have inner peace and that I'm creative comantic an joyfull. Okay everything but the first thing is true, but what if it's just coincidence?

Snow

Hello, my dear readers that appear to be non existing
A friend of mine told me that right now Finland is covered under a carpet of snow. Personally I don't like snow. No I hate it. Always when I say that there are always a few people who look at me like "WTF!? did she just say!? Who on earth doesn't like SNOW!?" Well I don't like snow because First of all it's cold and wet. Do you guys like going to school with dry socks and dry shoes and all of dry clothes and coming home with wet socks, wet shoes and all of your other clothes wet AND frozen? Well I don't! When it snows to me  it feels like my toes are going to freeze off and so my fingers and my nose. I don't want to look like Voldemort you know.
Second snow is dangerous. Last year with the first snow. No one had come to take away the snow yet. I wanted to go for a walk with my dog Brutus because he loves snow so much. And in front of my house I have like a little garden and a path. That path was covered in snow. I didn't even make the sidewalk before I fell! And like always just at the moment I fell my best friend came by and she started laughing her lungs out of her chest.
What do you think about snow? Let me know! (Hey, that rhymes!)

Drinking alcohol and driving laws questioned

Hello, fellow internet users

In the USA the minimum age of drinking is 21 and you can drive when you're only 16 years old. While here in Belgium you can drink when you're 16 and you can drive at 18. So, is it a good idea to allow people to drive BEFORE they're allowed to drink? Isn't is wrong to introduce young people to alcohol when they're already driving? Wouldn't it be better if they can't drive legally when they are at the age where they can experiment with alcohol?

I think people should be allowed to drink before they can drive. Because when young people doesn't matter when they're 16 or 21 they certainly WILL start experimenting with alcohol. And at least once they get too drunk to drive. But if you're that drunk you don't think about safety and you drive home yourself anyway, and even if that happens only once they can cause an accident where maybe children die in. When you live in the USA this is perfectly possible.
In Belgium you can drink like 2 years before you drive. So by the time you can drive you're done experimenting and they can take their responsibility and decide not to drive when they're too drunk and when they do they can punish them harder.
