I hope I passed

Hey guys. I'm a little stressed right now. I have to wait until FRIDAY till I find out if I failed my grade or not. Yes I have doubts. I've probably failed on chemistry and also for some other classes I'm not so sure. I hope I will pass, and I'll let you guys know more next Friday. Till then I have to try to enjoy the good weather which is bearly here since I live in Belgium. Not that I mind, I can enjoy it more than someone who lives in place where the weather is always the same. I can enjoy rain too. I love the smell of it. It smells fresh as something new. As if the earth is getting a shower. How have I come to the subject of the smell of rain?
Anyway I know what to do now.... Just try to relax and enjoy the sun.

Easy baking

As you might know I love making cake, cupcakes,... So I decided to start a baking series that I will start to post from now on. In this series there will not only be like in cake, but also other desserts like apples baked in honey, pudding,.. Don't expect a post every week. I don't have enough time for that, and I don't know how many parts it will have. I guess it will just go on till the end of this blog.

I'm planning to start in the beginning of July, and I will make a picture of how it turned out to look like with me followed by what ingredients you need and what kitchen equipment. I will try to keep it cheap.  If you have a good recipe that you think I should make you can email it to me at contessor.blogspot@hotmail.com and maybe your reciepe will appear on my blog (And if you want me to I will mention your name and blog in that post). I hope that this series will have succes.
If I got the recipe from a website, that website will be mentioned, if it isn't it's a recipe from my family so I can't mention a source for that.

My decision

I decided to restart with blogging the day after my last exam. so the 23 of this month. You can expect a post every tuesday, thursday and saturday.

I took a break because I didn't have much motivation left. I think I had a lack of motivation because of the lack of comments I get. Please people comment about my posts so I get some feedback and I can write more about what you want to read about

My apologies

I'm sorry for not posting that much recently. As you may have seen I have stopped with my quote of the weeks posts. Maybe someday they'll return. I'm really busy right now and I'm going to try to write a post as much as I can, but with the exams coming I don't know if I'll be able to do my 3 posts a week.

Warm Bodies

Has anyone seen Warm bodies? I think that for a movie meant for teens it's a very good movie. It's got more depth in it than most popular teen movies (like twilight and beautiful creatures). It's a comedy that's actually funny and not shallow. There are voice-overs the entire movie. You hear the thoughts of the main character "R" at least he thinks that his name started with that letter. But these voice overs are great and not annoying at all. In fact they're funny. They're the funniest part of the movie (not concluding my best friends comments. When the girl ran away she said "she went to get some coffee" hilarious) I really liked Nicholas Hoult (who played R. You can see him in the picture below) This guy used to be in a relationship with Jennifer Lawrence (who plays Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games). And he also plays in Jack the Giant Slayer, which I'm very exited to see.
Anyway this is a good movie and you should go watch it right away! Leave a comment to tell me what YOU think!

Disneyland

I don't know if I've told you guys yet, tomorrow I'm going to Disneyland Paris. And I'm way to exited to write a decent blog post. I'm going with my mother, my sister, my best friend and my boyfriend. I've got some money to buy some stuff there. I'll probably buy slippers there. And with slippers I mean the kind you see below. My mom needs me in the kitchen now. Bye

The Host

When I was like 13 I read this book, and I loved it. And I still love what I remember of it. I always wanted it to be a movie and next week it'll be time.
The movie will be in cinema's the 18th. I'm so exited, and I just can't hide it! I'm really exited to see the movie, and I'm planning on reading the book again. If you haven't read the book yet run to the store and but it right now. I know it's based on a book by Stephenie Meyer, and that she wrote twilight, but this isn't twilight at all. It's like comparing apples to pears. It's so much better, it's way less shallow, and she's made an entirely different world for the "aliens" or whatever they're called. Anyways you should read the book and go see the movie because it's totally worth it!
It's about a girl named Melanie who is "possesed" by another soul called Wanderer, and Melanie convinces Wanderer to escape civilization and go in the desert to find Jared (the man she loves) and her brother Jamie. (at least that's how I remember it) After they get there they're not welcomed very nicely. I'm not going to spoil the rest of the story to you guys. Go discover it yourselves!

Public transport and I not a very good combination

I wanted to go to the cinema with my boyfriend, and my mom didn't have time to take us there, so decided to go by train and metro. Well... I have to admit that it didn't exactly go this way. It couldn't have been worse.

So we had to take the train at 17:45 and 10 minutes later we had to be in Brussels. We missed the train and we had to take another train that took 25 minutes to get there. That made us miss our metro, so we had to wait like 15 minutes for the next one.
Then it turned out that we had been waiting for a tram line instead of a metro one. I told my boyfriend not to get in, that we had to take a metro, but he got him anyway, and I had no choice so I had to follow him. I don't have to tell you that we arrived 1 hour later at the cinema and missed our movie.
Don't worry it'll get worse.
So we picked another one which was very boring and longer, so we had no chance of getting a train home. We were stuck there. We had no money left for a taxi, so I had to call my mom. It was so cold outside. It was after midnight when we got home, and we left at 17:30.
I'm never getting to a late movie again.

How to display your computer display on your TV.

Note: this is with windows 7 and a VGA cable like you see in the picture above. A cable like this costs about €25 (Sound doesn't work with me, so I still have to figure it out, when it's fixed I'll let you know)

Step 1: plug your VGA cable into your laptop/PC to your TV
Step 2: Click on start/control panel
Write in the 'search' box "connect to an external dislay" click on the link with the same name.
Step 3: Click on detect and choose the connected display you want to use.
Step 4: Now click "ok" and the problem is fixed

This is me

First: people, would you like to comment on my posts from now on, maybe you can propose a certain subject. And if you also have a blog leave your link. Stop being quiet viewers.

I noticed that some more people are visiting this page lately, so I decided to make a post to introduce myself to them.
I'm Tess a not always very normal teenager (I'm 15). I love blogging and I'm hoping to be a writer someday. I'm extremely shy, and insane (it's weird, but it's the truth), but don't worry I can also be serious. I love sarcasm, it's just my thing, and so is cooking. Man I love cooking, I've already gotten many compliments for my cooking talents, oh and baking, I love baking too. In case you don't know the difference between cooking and baking: cooking is about meals, baking is coockies, cakes, cupcakes an that kinda stuff. If I make cupcakes (I usually have like 40 cupcakes) they're all eaten in 2 days. My family is addicted. Introducing yourself is pretty hard.
I have a boyfriend, and we're together since September 2011 so that over a year and a half. And We're still crazy about each other. We're different than other people of our age. I have ADHD and he has the syndrome of asperger (some kind of autism) but it's not like he doesn't say anything at all. He's even more talkative than I am if he feels comfortable around you.

The pros and cons of summer jobs

Would you do a summerjob or not? Here are some pros and cons to help you decide

Pro
  • You make money, so you can save or spend it. This way you also learn to deal with money
  • it looks good on your CV
  • you will probably make friends
  • the days that you don't have to work seem to get more meaning than 2 full months of doing nothing
  • you have to walk around so you can lose weight
  • your parents will find you more responsible and with that you get more responsibility
  • you will actually have something to tell the friends you already have about
  • it will teach you work skills you will need for the rest of your life, like filling in a job application, and how to get along with co-workers and superiors

Con

  • you can't sleep in every day
  • you will miss some parties or family occasions
way more pro's than cons! So I say get a job and make something out of your life!

Summer Jobs

This year I'm turning 16, so I'm allowed the work for a month during the summer break. Most people in my year are not going to work because they're too lazy, and they don't realize that a summer job might give your potential future boss a good impression so he'll hire you. And you get some money where you can go shopping with or in my case buy a laptop and spend the rest of the money on my trip to london.
I've already filled in lots of job applications and I hope that at least someone will hire me. 'cause I really need the money.
Next monday there's a post coming up about the pros and cons of summer jobs.

Bathrooms at school

Today I'm going to write a small part on public bathrooms. Recently a study showed that more than 50% of the students only use the bathroom at school when they have no other choice. And I belong to that 50%. Why? Because the bathrooms in schools are usually not clean.
I mean in the bathrooms at my school (at least the ones which are not in the hallway) are always filled with spiders, and I think that it gets cleaned like once every month. There are over 500 girls in my school and 4 bathrooms. I usually go in the one in the hallway because those are usually cleaner) Those bathrooms really are pure filth. Sometimes there's even pee on the toilet itself not it on! Or some hair or even blood. How disgusting is that?
And there's the problem of the huge lines at the bathrooms. And I personally think that this is the only valid explanation for that.

Guess Who's going to London!

Yes, you were right I am! And since I'm a blogger so there a probably going to be some pictures for you guys! I'm going with my best friend Anke, and till now we have already planned the 1D-store (not that I even like them, but she loves them and it's to do her a favor. This store will open the 24th of March. The second 1D-store in the world, the first one is in New York City) and madame tussauds. I already asked her to go to Camden town. I heard it's awesome there. Next to this text you see a nice picture of it.
Ever been in London and got some awesome sites that I have to visit? Then leave a comment below.

Ps. Tomorrow I'm going on a school trip to a mental hospital  I think that some students (including me) will have to stay there

Quote of the week #15

My sister's brother is a psychopath.

Did I tell you guys that the guy who is according to the law my brother molests me? I think he's a psychopath. I just didn't want to lend him my PC and he got really angry and he grabbed my throat and pushed me against the wall. He threatened to punch me and my boyfriend's teeth out and beat us into the hospital.
Last time I refused to lend him my PC he deceived me with a knife. But like a huge knife 30cm or something, but I'm a stubborn person and I didn't bow for him.
When I was 9 I got suicidal because of him, because he kept beating me till I lay crying in the corner begging him to stop. He only did this when my mom wasn't home. When I was 13  was still suicidal because of him and then I got another hit. My at that time best friend told me (no she didn't tell me she showed me clearly enough) that she didn't want to be my friend anymore. When I look at it right now I'm happy that I'm not her friend anymore she became a real vegetarian bitch. And before she stopped being my friend she treated me wrong anyway. A few months and many suicide attempts later I met Sam, my boyfriend and he helped me get over it, and get over thinking that my brother should always be forgiven. He made me happier than I had been in years. And I'm always happy now, happier then I ever was, but it all changes when I see my brother. Then I become so depressed, all I want to do is get rid of him, I want him gone. The day I have enough money to move out, I'm moving out right away. I'm already saving for it now.
seriously the day he becomes 18 I'm going to sue him. I looked it up and if I win the trial in court he has to get to prison for at least 6 years.
I know he's not worth wasting time on, but he needs to get punished for what he does. My mom always says that he does that because he used to get beaten by his father when he was a kid when he didn't play well enough at soccer. As if that makes everything all right. As if I will think then "Oh, that's the reason. Come on Arno beat me to death, it's all right, I love being beaten if it's for that reason." I know that he's her son and that she wants to protect him and see all the good in him, but I'm her daughter  and I actually need the protection. She acts like what he does is not a big deal, but to me it is. He's a monster and he needs to suffer. When he dies I'm going to spit on his grave.

EDIT: I talked to my father about it and he thinks that Arno is right

Sam Tsui & Christina Grimmie

Ever heard of Sam Tsui and Christina Grimmie? No? Well... it's your lucky day. I'm going to indroduce them both to you.

Sam Tsui is a YouTube artist and he's damn talented (And he looks very good too). You should go check him out! He mainly sings covers of popular pop songs, but he usually gives it a twist. It becomes less techno and a little bit slower than the original version. And it's usually better too!

Christina Grimmie is just like Sam a YouTube artist and she's very good too. I don't know about her songs for very long, and I haven't listened them all yet. She doesn't upload that frequently so I just took the most recent one.

These two talents together:

Spring has finally arrived here!

Last week it was still like -2°C and today it was like 17°C. I am so happy that after months being below 0°C and being cold 24/7 it is finally getting warmer! A couple degrees more and I can go outside in my shorts and a t-shirt. After months of seeing nothing but clouds in the sky you could see everything. Not a single cloud to see. It feels like I just got out of prison. I just feel great that the sun is back! I really missed the sun. I haven't been this happy in MONTHS!
I'm getting back outside to enjoy the sun.

When tomorrow starts without me

Today is my grandfathers funeral, and since I promised myself to post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday plus my Quote of the week every Saturday I had to post something. I'm posting a beautiful poem about someone who died. Though god is mentioned and I don't believe in god, it's still a great poem, and if my grandfather would've understood English I would've red it to him today.

When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see.
If the sun should rise and find your eyes, all filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry, the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things we never got to say.

I know how much you love me, as much as I love you..
And each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too..
But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand..
An angel came and called my name and took me by the hand,
It seemed my place was ready - In Heaven far above,
and that I'd have to leave behind, those things I dearly love...

But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye.
For all of life, I'd always thought, I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for, so much yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible, that I was leaving you...
I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad...
I thought of all the love we shared, and how much fun we had...
If I could relive yesterday, just even for a while,
I'd say goodbye, then kiss you ‘til I saw that special smile...

But then I fully realized, that it could never be,
'Cause emptiness and memories, would take the place of me.
And when I thought of all those things, I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did, my heart was filled with sorrow...
But when I walked through Heaven's gates, I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me, From his great & golden throne,

He said, "This is eternity, and all I've promised you.
Today your life on Earth is past, but here it starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last,
and since each day is the same day, there's no longing for the past. .
But you have been so faithful, so trusting and so true,
Though there were some times you did some things you shouldn't do...

But you have been forgiven, and now at last you're free,
So come and take me by the hand, and share my life with me.."
So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart,
for every time you think of me, I'll be right there - in your Heart..

Welcome March

So today is my niece her birtday so Happy birthday Zena.

And Next week it's carnival in my hometown, and I'm exited, not as exited as last year but yet exited. Carnival is very popular out here. EVERYBODY goes. And when someone says they don't like caraval everyone is like "What kind of person are you". It's pretty big out here. Not as big as in Aalst or even Rio, but it's very big for a city where 20 000 people live, with our 42 carnaval groups. I'm definately going!

The clothes I bought during the break

So, During the last break I went shopping a little and I bought some clothes. Not many, but clothes are clothes. And I have pics of them laying in my bed. I will mention where a bought it and the price. Well at least circa.
Bel&Bo €20

Action €8
What I like most about this are the elbowpads.

H&M €14
I really love this shirt I even bought it in 2 colors. I think there were 4 colors available

C&A €20
Jennyfer €15
My sister bought me this in France. She's so selfish. She gets home with 7 t-shirts, 4 pairs of jeans, 3 skirts, and 2 dresses and then some other junk and then she's like oh, and I got you a t-shirt. Yeah I know I couldn't come because I was sick, but if you got that much you could've at least brought me home more than 1 t-shirt. And maybe a t-shirt I actually like? Caro, maybe you're only 11, but I already know you're a bitch.

What I did during my 1-week break

So I just had a week off school, and I have to admit that I've been quiet productive for it being a holiday. In the weekend I did nothing but watching TV shows, and being extremely lazy. And I barely ate anything at all. As a protest against the fact that my boyfriend wasn't allowed to come over to my place during the week. My mom changed her mind the second day (not that I didn't eat when she wasn't home, but she didn't see that, and I claimed I hadn't eaten anything. Well... I got what I wanted, that's all what matters.)
And sundaymorning a friend of my sister arrived because she was going to stay at out place till Tuesday. And I promised them that I'd try to bake them cookies

Monday I went over to my Pauline's to already prepare some stuff for our group assignment that we were going to do that Wednesday  It didn't go as planned. Everything was over way to fast, so we decided to make some back-up plans and improvise if it's needed.
And I tried to bake cookies for my sister and her friend, but I hopelessly failed. The dough was too sticky to even shape it, so we had to stop before the baking process even began. I really started doubting that my plan to bake cookies for my boyfriend for valentine's day would "fall into the water" like the saying goes. Well... at least it wasn't my whole present. Anyway to make my failure with the cookies good, I baked them cupcakes, fortunately that turned out good, they loved it. I love baking <3.

Okay, I admit Tuesday I wasn't productive at all. Except that I shopped a little with my mom and scored an new pair of shoes and some kind of striped shirt (with elbowpads!). And that's kinda it.

Wednesday the last day I didn't have to wast being sick, I wasted another way. I did a group project for behavioral sciences. It was not exactly fun, but it wasn't boring either. I just really wanted to do something else, fortunately no one noticed.

The rest of the break I was sick with bronchitis. Which meant that in the weekend I couldn't go along shopping in France, because I was too sick. WE HAVEN'T GONE SHOPPING IN FRANCE FOR YEARS. AND NOW THAT WE DO I AM SICK. And some people (my sister) are too selfish to ask dad for me to go next weekend with us!

Sleep Tight

Sleep tight, grandpa. We'll miss you.
You were already sick for years. MS had already taken so much from you, but today it also took your life. You were only 62, way too young to die. No matter how much pain you had, you kept on smiling being happy, you always were optimistic about everything, listening to Claude Francois. I know that you had Alzheimer and you never remember who I am, but I will always remember you. Only last week there was nothing going on. Till you got that infection, and we had to take you to the hospital, where you survived a heat-attack but then your kidneys stopped working and everything else in your body followed soon. I was there when you died. You could hardly tell you were dead. I had to say goodbye to you today, but you'll always be in my heart, in the heart of everyone who used to know you.

This makes me want to leave this planet

I really don't understand how people can waste their money on something like this. You could better donate you money to some charity thingy so you actually help people and you can make a copy of the check and you can make it bigger and hang it above your door. Then you actually did something good!
I don't want to share this planet with those 8 people anymore.

I'm sorry

Hai guys, I'm really sick at the moment so I'm not posting till I am fully recovered.

Valentine's day

It's almost valentine's day. The day that you have to do something for the one you love. What do you personally think about Valentine's day? Do you think it's an important day, or that it's to commercial, or do you think it's a very useless holiday since that you shouldn't need an excuse to do something for your boy/girlfriend? Here's my opinion which is not always very tactful.

I think that valentine's day is something to commercial and that you shouldn't need a special day every year to make the one you love happy.
I think that everyone can see how commercial valentine's day is. There are special episodes about valentine's day in series, all over the stores there are valentine's day presents as soon as we're halfway January. There a hundreds of movies on valentine's day,... people are starting to feel forced to buy that partner something. I am going to try to get my boyfriend stop contributing to valentine's day. If he needs a particular day to do something special to me, I don't want him to do something special. All those stores come up with expensive cliche and above all silly valentine's day presents. I got my boyfriend some kind of a heart-shaped snow globe where he can put a picture in of us. And for his birthday I'm going to get him an iPad case with a picture of the two of us on it. I admit I've got something with pictures, but doesn't that make the present more personal, like you've put more effort into it. And for the 14th of February I'm also going to make him heart shaped cookies  maybe I'll post the recipe someday.
I'm going to leave it here. I've got so much left to say, but so little time.

Lock your love in Paris

It's a big phenomenon. It's not just Paris, it's the whole world! The idea is that you buy a little lock and on it you write the names of your lover and you on it and you lock it to the bridge together, and then you throw the key away in the water, so your love will last forever. Now lovers all over the world go to Paris to lock their love on those bridges since they say that Paris is the city of love.
Everyone who actually lives in Paris detests the locks. It's just all the tourist who come put a lock on a bridge they might never see again in their life. Just let the lovers do what they want people. It's not like the locks ruin your life.

My friend is still sick

Last friday we went langlaufing. It's just like skiing, but than without a mountain. And we were going up a hill and everything was covered in snow and the sky was totally white because of the clouds and there were a few leaveless trees around us and the only thing made by human-beings we could see was a church with a cemetery surrounding it and then suddenly my friend was like "This is kind of scary. It feels like all of the colors have been pulled out of the world and never going back again. And the human beings are going to forget the colors and after a while they will fade away because of it." she said
And then I said "you're sick."
"Welcome to my brain." she said. "And then all the people will turn into zombies and they will eat each others corpses."

Now we all know how the world will end

Imagine Dragons

Have you ever heard of Imagine Dragons? Well... I hope you have and if not it's your lucky day. This is my favorite band and I heard their song (It's Time) on the radio the other day (I already knew the band) and I loved hearing it on the radio so much that I decided to write a post on it. (I heard it on Q-music the favorite music channel of my mom. My favorit is MNM) Anyway here is their song It's Time

And my personal favorite Radioactive. The clip is about stuffed animals fighting.

Thanks for reading and make sure to check out both their albums

5 tips do a great powerpoint presentation

I have a powerpointpresentation Friday and I'm doing it on obsessive-compulsive disorder. So I decided to write a post on how to have a great presentation.

  1. Use Powerpoint this can be your secret cheat sheet if you use it correctly and it gives a more visual aspect to your fellow students and you teacher which is always a good thing. So if possible, use powerpoint
  2. ALWAYS look at your audience. Most people (including me) are very shy and don't like presentations or looking people directly in the eye, so you can also just look right above their head and that way the audience will feel more connected to your presentation which also gives better grades!
  3. Time well. If your teacher said that it should take 20 USE your 20 minutes a fully as you can if you have 2 minutes more or less it doesn't matter. So at home take your phone use your stopwatch and practice your presentation. Say EVERYTHING. Don't be like I'll just add 1 minute for explaining that picture, because I don't feel like explaining it now. Just do it!
  4. This may sound like a strange tip but DON'T stand in front of your powerpoint. I have seen some presentations where the speaker was that nervous that he/she stood in front of his Powerpoint which made it rather useless to use powerpoint.
  5. Explain a lot. When you started researching your subject you maybe didn't know what for example a hypothalamus is, so don't assume that your classmates will know what it is
If you're going to do a presentation good luck.

3 things I'd be lost without

I know this title comes from my 18 blog post idea's list. I am allowed to use my own idea's right? As the title says I'm going to write about 3 things (NOT people) in my life I can't live without.

1. My cellphone
I'm just addicted to this thing. I text 24/7 with my friends and even with my grandma. I can't live without this little thingy that came to rule my life since I was 12. You never see me without my cellphone, the first thing I do when I wake up is check my cellphone if I haven't got any messages, and text someone (usually my boyfriend), it's also the last thing I do when I go to sleep. You can really say that I am addicted. My cellphone always sleeps next to my iPod in my bed.
2. My notebook
Here I write my stories in in the first place and sometimes also blog posts if I get an idea at school. I write it in this because then I can correct everything when typing it into a post for my blog.
3. My laptop
Actually I hate my laptop, but I couldn't live without it. This is the only way I can write blog posts properly and share my stories. I really need a new one. In the beginning I started blogging to improve my English which I didn't exactly need according to my English teacher she says "we haven't learned that tens yet Tess" all the time when I use the present perfect continuous. Anyway I couldn't live without this wreck.

My friends are all sick in their own sick ways

All of my friends are sick in their heads. All in their own sick, but yet not scary ways. But today I was talking to two friends of mine and we were talking about Metal music. I turned out to be the only one who wasn't familiar with this genre and they were talking about this band called "Avenged Sevenfold" and one of them said they have this song with this awesome hilarious music video so I asked which one they meant and they said "a Little Piece of Heaven", so I just watched the music video and it's kinda funny, but you have got to be sick to find it funny when you watch it for the first time (or maybe it was just because the high quality speed of my computer which allows you to watch a 8 minute video in over half an hour) I just mean this story line is SICK. You just HAVE to be sick to make that story up. Oh my girlfriend is dead. What if I eat her heart? Anyway watch the video below. IF YOU DARE!
Anyway I really like the song itself.

How awkward grandma can be of help

I bet most people recognize the next situation. You're at the supermarket with your grandmother, and your grandmother seems to be in a tactless mood that day. And suddenly you see the guy from school you've had a crush on since forever. Your grandma asks you very loud "Is that the guy you keep on talking about ALL the time? I thought he'd be cuter than that.", and to make it even wore she points at him. Awkward situation isn't it? What if it turns out into something good?

With one of my friends in school it did. She went through this situation like everyone would, and it was very awkward. But the good part is: the next day at school the guy came to talk to my friend. Let's call her Jess and the boy Mike to make it easier to explain. He came to talk to Jess and she apologized for the lack of tact her grandmother had the day before and he said that it was fine and stuff like that. And then this dialogue started.
"Well... I've actually wanted to ask you out for a very long time but I never had the courage. But now I know that you like me... Will you go out with me?" Mike asked he looked very hopefull
Suddenly my friend started freaking out completely and she said yes. I mean she acted like he just asked her to marry him. They were both very shy for a few mins after that. So they went to the cinema the next wednesday and now they have been in a relationship for almost 6 months by now. They're a great couple.

How to improve your writing.

When I was a few years younger I often thought about this looked thing about this up, well I still do and I've got some tips to improve your writing skills on a short time. But then you have to practice daily. The more you practice, the faster it goes.

1. Start a blog. This one might sound odd, but if you have a blog you are supposed to write your pots yourself so that's practice + you feel obligated to post frequently= A lot of practice. This blog can about anything like dogs, your grandma,... or like mine about everything and nothing.

2. "Read a lot and write a lot. There's no way around these two things." - Stephen King. If you write a lot you practice and when you read without knowing you improve your own writing skills. And you can also learn from the structure of the story and look at the rules for starting new lines (e.g. when you use these " and and another person says something start a new line.), and you also have to read several authors, several genres to improve you writing even more.

3. Eliminate distractions. Okay you can listen to quiet music I do that too. It kind of helps your writing, but turn the TV off you write in your quiet room instead of with your brother and sister who never seem to get tired of fighting with each other

4. Revise what you wrote. Can you remove a word, do it. Could that sentence have sound better? Make it sound better. Don't use a long word when a short word can do. To you it may seem better, but it's easier for the reader to read short and simple words

6. Write. This is definately one of the most important ones in this article. To practise your writing without having to start an actual story toy can do a lot of things.  A short list:
- Choose a short part of a movie and try to write it as if it would be written in an actual book (this doesn't work well in action movies though.)- Write down how a conversation went like it was a part of a book
- Describe anything
- Write a short storie (about 300 words)

7. Be confident about what you write. If you like what you write it IS good. If anyone disagrees with that that's their problem not yours. And the most critical person about you work is you.

8. Take your time to write. The more time you spend on it the better. Except if you look at the same paragraph for 2 hours. If you can't come up with better words go do something else get out of your chair and go get a short walk, think about something else and start again with a fresh mind.

9. Make it a habit. If you write everyday, even if it's just a few lines it becomes a habit and if you can explain something in a few sentences it's better than if you need half a book for it

10. Write something outside your usual material. If you usually write fantasy try to write realistic fiction.

Remember if you don't practice you won't get any better.
